Brazilian-German artist based in Berlin since 2014. Specialized in engraving by the State University of Sao Paulo. Since she moved to Berlin, started to painting. Barbara is always experimenting new things, materials, surfaces, and preparing their own pigments.

"In my latest paintings I have used opaque materials such as oxidations and oil-based pigments.

I portrait what surrounds me. Can be in a physical way,  such as people, objects, places or something abstract, like a feeling. I want to reach a state out of the ordinary and try to convey things related to the divine.

 

I create because there is something inside me that needs to come out, and that it is not possible to do verbally. The painting supplants that place. It is a basic necessity,."
